I’ve become very neutral on most things, so I actively run the risk of pissing everyone off.

_____________________

Because no one would ever do it.

It’s the unknown that’s the scariest thing. Once you know it, you can digest it and move ahead.

“See what tomorrow gives you.” -Akhila (Nike programmer)

I was close to cementing someone who wasn’t the best me. Then everything fell apart. Maybe it was better that way.

_____________________

I don’t have any doubts about finding success. My only doubt is whether I’ll find success in what I want to be successful in. There are a million doors open to me if I want to take them.

_____________________

I know I can do it, so what’s the point? I want to do something I don’t know I can do.

_____________________

What if you control everything? I mean everything.

_____________________

I can’t be bothered with the presence of dumb people.

_____________________

I am running out of good ideas. I think I have maximized by ability to analyze this experience.

No reason to search. Put yourself in a position where your dreams can find you.

At worst I am Libertarian. At best, I am political neutral and a completely impartial analyst with no proclivities or biases, who makes decisions based on numbers with the goal of seeking increased good for society as a whole through maximizing individual freedom, individual opportunity, and societal good, the last of which is measured through metrics such as wealth distribution, poverty levels, and environmental and economic sustainability. My one belief is that the only way to way to maximize any of those 3 long term is to maximize all 3 long term.

You can believe in yourself and still not feel it’s worth the risk. Believing in yourself and believing you will accomplish something are two different things.

The only way we can make something better is to take the risk of it being different. This is the great conundrum of life. To stay in your comfort zone or to strive for something better knowing full well the real possibility that you will wish you stayed at port. Perhaps this is where all wisdom emanates from – knowing the time for change and the time for contentment.

I do not think the people on the right are inherently any smarter than the people on the left, but they seem nicer.

_____________________

I was tired of being wrong, so I stopped forming opinions. That’s when I began critiquing thought patterns instead.

I see a lot of people in government jobs that make a looooot of money, and I say, “Why?” And their response is, “Well you could have taken the job.” And my answer is, “That’s not the point. The point is, what justifies that pay rate? What justifies that retirement package?”

Every great thing that happened to me, happened in a way I never imagined. I think the key is to stop trying to think. By doing so we eliminate possibilities.

What’s the next evolution? That’s always the question.

_____________________

I don’t believe in, “If it was meant to be..”

This week, I had two women ask me out, I had a girl try to set me up with her friend who clearly liked me, and I had a girl friend invite me to spend 3 days with her in Vegas. Aaaaand of course there is a girl I like that I’m talking to, but she is hit and miss lately lol. It always goes in spurts like this. Finding the girl who wants me that I want too has always proven difficult.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” -Sun Tzu, The Art of War

I didn’t listen to much this week. This was the song that I really liked from the 292 soundtrack mix. It technically was probably the winner last week, so here it is, since I don’t have one this week.
