End of the year thought post. Cleaning out all the thoughts and adding a 2015 year review into the mix. The thoughts written here were recorded between December 27th and December 31st. There weren’t a lot for some reason. All thoughts are original.
You don’t have to know someone to speak wisdom into their life and situations. Wisdom is universal.
I have a plan to escape reality. Let me know if you’d like to join me.
Please don’t leave me. I don’t know what to do if you go.
The most difficult thing about a relationship between two people who are many years apart is bridging the love perception. Each age, generally, views love and relationships differently by assigning it different reasons, purposes, and justifications. Thus, two people who are many years apart may be objectively perfect for each other, but if either is stuck in their paradigm, then their relationship either won’t start or it won’t last.
Year 2015 in review. I may be forgetting some things to highlight. If I realize what they are, I will add them…
High Point of the Year: Night with Chloe
Low Point of the Year: The 10 Year Cry
Purchase of the Year: Umm… didn’t buy really anything. Perhaps some of the books I read.
Album of the Year: We Built A Zoo by Jonsi
Crush of the Year: Sara (A Total Babe). Definitely worth having a crush on this girl. She’s great. I recommend every guy consider crushing on her.
Hashtag of the Year: #ImAGoofball. Even this year in review post can’t escape my subtle goodballness.
Present of the Year (given): Firewood to parents
Present of the Year (received): Hoverboard. The 5 year journal was #2 – that was such a good gift for me.
Mistake of the Year: Hmm, I didn’t really make any big mistakes this year. But if I could go back and do it again, I would’a kissed those two French girls. And that American girl.
Article of the Year: I’m going to go with… “8 Reasons Why I’m the Greatest Snuggler of All Time.” It was the one supermodel article that didn’t make people mad. I thought the two compliment articles were pretty genius too, though.
Movie of the Year: Fury.
Trip of the Year: Texas to see Jon and flying 1st class. For the history record, I also went to Georgia (twice) and to France.
Photo of the Year: by Mary Saphy. I’ve been looking for this man for 2 decades. The photo of me in the tie is more me, but this is the photo I’ve been waiting for.
Books I read this year…
- The Male Brain by Louann Brizendine (rating: C)
- The Female Brain by Louann Brizendine (rating B+)
- The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Green (rating A+)
- The 50th Law by Robert Green and 50 Cent (rating B)
- Sex At Dawn by Christopher Ryan and Cacilda Jetha (Rating A-)
- Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter (rating B+)
- A Curious Mind: The Secret to a Bigger Life by Brian Grazer (rating B)
- The Choice by Nicholas Sparks (rating B-)
- I feel like I’m missing one or two… I’m in the middle of like 4 books right now so those don’t count.
Creation of the Year: My Instagram. A very unique and intentional design. It’s a great outlet for me, and I enjoy seeing how it develops. However, this ties with the photo shoot I did with Mary. That’s something I always be able to look back on and be happy I did.
Achievement of the Year: Licensing deal in France. Developing the Take Flight Ultra Shoes takes 2nd spot.
Person of the Year: My dad. He was awesome and was there to hang out and talk a lot.
Outcome of New Year’s Resolution from 2014 (“Get what I want”): Hmmm… half accomplished. I’ll probably write an article on this one.
New Year’s Resolution for 2015: Eat vegetables every day, and focus on loving people more.
New Year’s Goal for 2015: Get Nina Agdal to fall in love with me.
Song of the Year: Where Are U Now (Skrillex and Diplo with Justin Bieber). I probably listened to this song 1,200 times. It summed up my year really well. Right now it also wins the “Life Song” award,
